Provided are a method for producing a cellulose nanofiber, said method being characterized by comprising pulverizing cellulose in a polyester-based resin, preferably a polyester-based resin having an ester group concentration of 6.0 mmol/g or greater, and a cellulose nanofiber which is produced by the aforesaid method. Also provided is a masterbatch composition which comprises the aforesaid cellulose nanofiber and a polyester-based resin. Also provided are a resin composition which comprises the masterbach composition and a resin for dilution, and a molded article of the same.
