APPARATUS AND METHOD OF ESTABLISHING CONTENTION WINDOW IN WIMEDIA WIRELESS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A contention window establishment method in a Wi-Fi multimedia wireless network and apparatus thereof are provided to establish an optimal contention window according to each access category based on numbers of devices. CONSTITUTION: A parsing unit(120) extracts an access category of each apparatus and numbers of devices which transmit data from a beacon received during a beacon period. A calculation unit(130) calculates the transmission probability of each access category based on numbers of the extracted device. A contention window establishment unit(140) establishes a contention window according to each access category.
