摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic coupling device that can prevent and suppress an unnecessary impact which may be generated while a brake force acts and that rotational torque is transmitted without causing the complication of structure and a cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic coupling device includes: a magnetic pole body having an exciting coil in a yoke; an armature which can slide in the axial direction of a shaft and can form a magnetic circuit together with the magnetic pole body; a plate arranged in a position opposing the armature; and a first plate 4 which is arranged between the armature and the plate and has, at axial both end faces, friction faces 4Sa which are pressed against the armature or the plate when the exciting coil is in a non-excited state.
