<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable radio equipment having a waterproof cap compatible of detachability with secured strength. <P>SOLUTION: In the portable radio equipment having a waterproof cap 1 to protect a side external connection connector, an external connection substrate 21, having a mounted connection component such as a connector, is accommodated in a substrate accommodation recess portion 19 of a radio equipment body chassis 2.
