<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by controlling the discharge capacity of an air compression apparatus according to the consumption amount of compressed air without using an air flow rate sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The air compression apparatus 1 includes four compressors 2A to 2D for individually supplying compressed air to a tank 8. A pressure sensor 13 and a temperature sensor 14 are attached to the tank 8, and connected to the control circuits 7A to 7D of the compressors 2A to 2D. The control circuits 7A to 7D calculate times tu and td to reach the minimum pressure Pmin and the maximum pressure Pmax of the tank 8 by using pressure Pm(t) by the pressure sensor 13 and the temperature Tt by the temperature sensor 14. In this case, the times tu and td take values corresponding to the consumption amount of compressed air because they are calculated by using the pressure change value ΔP of the tank 8. Thus, the control circuits 7A to 7D control the running number of compressors 2A to 2D according to the compression amount of the compressed air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
