<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire cord in which the weight is reduced using a thin wire, disconnection is prevented, first of all, while ensuring flexibility, and external appearance and touch are improved if possible. <P>SOLUTION: A first coating fiber 13 and a second coating fiber 14 are wound around a wire 11 and a wire splint 12 integrally to produce a wire cord 1. The wire cord can be used even in such a place where a conventional wire cord cannot be used because it is too heavy or it cannot be bent.
