The steering gear (100) comprises a screw pinion (130), which has a shaft (13) placed in a gearbox casing (110) and is drivable by an electric motor (190). The screw pinion engages in a helical gear (140) placed in the gearbox casing. The steering gear at drive-sided section (131) of the shaft has a shaft bearing (121) formed as fixed bearing. The drive-sided section of the shaft extends in axial direction and projects from the steering gear, where the projecting end of the drive-sided section is designed as a rotor shaft of the electric motor.
