<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-converting apparatus which enables reduction in power consumption by a cooling fan to improve the efficiency of power conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The power-converting apparatus includes a monitoring unit 34, which monitors the amount of power generated by the power converting unit 22; a fan control data table 38 which stores beforehand the power generation control data which are correlated respectively with a plurality of months; an acquiring unit 33 which acquires the present month, and a drive control unit 35, which controls the drive of the cooling fan 9 based on the current month. The drive control unit 35 compares the amount of power generated by the power-converting unit 22, that is monitored by the monitoring unit 34 with the power control data correlated with the present month for controlling the driving of the cooling fan 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
