<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of achieving an encoding process of encoding to maximally increase the image quality of image data after encoded with a low processing load while setting a code amount of image data after encoded lower than a target code amount. <P>SOLUTION: Intermediate data generating means 82 derives intermediate data from components other than LL components less than a predetermined resolving level number and the LL components of a plurality of kinds of resolving level numbers obtained by wavelet conversion using the plurality of kinds of resolving level numbers. Encoding means 83 generates frequency information indicative of frequency of generating the intermediate data of the components other than the LL components less than the predetermined resolving level number and the LL components of the plurality of kinds of resolving level numbers and encodes the intermediate data of the minimum resolving level number satisfying a condition that the code amount after encoded estimated based on the frequency information is not larger than the target code amount, among the plurality of kinds of resolving level numbers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
