A stop motion comprises a pivoted arm 14 having a slot 42 permitting passage of yarn, but which is pivoted downwards to operate a stop switch, and release the yarn when a slub engages the slot. Once the yarn has been released, or if the yarn slackens or breaks, a spring-biased wire 36 rises to maintain the switch in, or move it to, the 'stop' position. The width of slot 42 may be adjustable by means of a slide mounted on the arm. |
