PURPOSE: An automatic transmission shift control unit is provided to secure the long lifetime of a shift lever by operating the arm connected to a motor. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(2) receives an engine rotation speed signal(3) and a wheel rotation speed signal(4). The control unit operates the position of the lever according to the rotation speed and direction of the motor. The lever is neutrally positioned by the wheel rotation speed signal and the engine rotation speed signal when an emergency situation occurs. A stop state and a parking state are set based on time information. A switch(10) is installed on an arm head(7) and a rack gear(11).
