The handle (1) has a cavity (10) receiving a tang of a fencing weapon. Circumference (11) of the cavity at an end of the handle is supported against a hilt of the weapon. The circumference is radially extended by a flange (12) to increase a support surface of the flange. The flange and a handle body (14) enclosing the cavity constitute a single piece. The circumference of the cavity is rectangular or square in shape. The handle and the flange are made of alloy that is selected among aluminum and zirconium10 (ZR10) alloys.
