The system has transmission units for transmitting driving power of a drive unit to a load station. The transmission units are designed as transmission shafts (1), which consist of titanium-containing material. The transmission units consist of aluminum and vanadium, where aluminum is present in a larger mass fraction as vanadium. The transmission shafts are connected to connection elements (2, 3), where the system comprises tensile strength of preset value and/or elastic modulus within the range of 100 to 120 giga pascal (GPa) and/or shear modulus within the range of 39 GPa to 42 GPa. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a transmission shaft.
