Producing sterile water from raw water during a production cycle in a production plant, comprises adding a disinfectant continuously to the produced sterile water during the production cycle for permanent sterile water- and/or production plant-condition monitoring and determining and evaluating the concentration decrease of the disinfectant directly in the production flow (14). An independent claim is also included for the production plant for producing sterile water, comprising a sterile sensor (7) directly in sterile water product flow for sterile water- and/or production plant-condition monitoring during the production cycle, where the concentration decrease of the disinfectant added to the sterile water is measurable and is evaluated in terms of sterility detection. |
