The article (10) is made from a resilient knitted fabric (11). The knitted fabric is provided with a knitted insert (12). The knitted fabric and the knitted insert are manufactured by using resilient knitting threads and/or a resilient weft thread. The insert is knitted in a double layer or two-planes, and approximately exerts equaled compression pressure on a body of a wearer of the article as the knitted fabric. Two layers of the insert are connected punctually by stitches and/or a tuck loop.
