<p>Disclosed is a micro combined heat and power (mCHP) generation system 1 comprising a burner 4 and an internal combustion engine (ICE) 2 used to power a generator 3, the mCHP having a first heat exchanger, which may be in the form of a water conduit 11 passing through an oil sump 22, to exchange heat between the ICE and/or generator and a working fluid and a second heat exchanger 14 to exchange heat between the exhaust system and the working fluid. A diverter valve 8 is provided for controlling the flow of fluid through the first and second heat exchangers. The working fluid may be water in a central heating system 7.</p> |
