Process for saturating liquids with gases, esp. water with CO2, uses forced circulation of the liquid in a vessel supplied with the gas, so that the liquid is brought into contact with a cooler and a cold reservoir in the form of a mass of ice is produced. The process is applicable esp. to gasification of alcoholic or soft drinks. Preferred apparatus comrises pressure vessel with agitator and cooling pipes on the walls. The advantage is the avoidance of high pressure. |
