1300676 Dip moulding M A AKBAR 22 April 1971 [25 April 1970] 10784/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division A5] A condom comprises a single tubular moulding one end of which is closed and constitutes an outer sheath 14 and the other end of which is turned into the closed end and forms an inner sheath 12. The other end of the tubular moulding is open to provide an aperture 16 for the outflow of seminal fluid from the inner to the outer sheath. The inner sheath 12 has a thickened region 18 with a roughened inner surface 19 adjacent the turning point between the sheaths. In position, the inner sheath 12 encloses only the glans penis and a short adjacent portion of the male member. The condom is made by dipping a mould (20), Fig. 2 (not shown), into a liquid bath of suitable material, e.g. rubber, to produce a coating of the same shape. The surface of the mould (20) may be roughened in one region (22) in order to provide the roughened surface 19 on the condom. |
