PURPOSE: A processor and an operation method thereof are provided to increase operation performance of a processor by differentiating an L1 memory. CONSTITUTION: A scratch pad memory(250) includes a sharing area for storing variable in a coarse grain array mode. A cache memory(240) caches the variable from a DRAM(Dynamic Random Access Memory) including a local/stack section in a vliw(very long instruction word) mode. An address decoding unit(220) determines a memory access request based on the memory address corresponding to a memory access request.
