PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to eliminate bacteria from laundry such as clothing, towers, or sheets. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a case, a drum(300), a holding protrusion(350), and a UV LED(UltraViolet Light Emitting Diode). The drum is arranged in the case. The holding protrusion is attached to the drum. The UV LED is mounted on one side of the holding protrusion. The UV LED emits ultraviolet rays with a dominant wavelength which is shorter than 400nm onto an inner wall of the drum.
