PURPOSE: A pillar support structure for a guardrail is provided to prevent crashing vehicles from escaping the road by reinforcing a pillar of a guardrail, and effectively reinforcing a conventional pillar of the guardrail. CONSTITUTION: A pillar support structure for a guardrail comprises a reinforcement support(110), an upper backside support(130), and an upper front support(120). The reinforcement support comprises an insertion portion(111) in the form of a half pipe and support plates(112). The insertion portion is formed in the center to cover a pillar. The support plates are formed on both sides of the insertion portion. The lower part of the reinforcement support is embedded in the ground. The upper backside support is attached to the top of the reinforcement support and closely coupled to the back side of the pillar. The upper front support is coupled to the upper backside support and closely coupled to the front side of the pillar.
