PURPOSE: An expansion joint device for a bridge and a method for manufacturing and installing thereof are provided to prevent water leakage of an expansion joint device that absorbs the expansion of joint gaps between top plates of a bridge and improve construction ability, durability, waterproof property, and economic feasibility. CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint device for a bridge(J) comprises two frames, an elastic rubber drain board, brackets, and fastening members. Each frame comprises a horizontal plate, a vertical plate, and anchor fixed plates. The horizontal plate is composed of a rectangular shaped plate body. The vertical plate is vertically welded at a predetermined position on the horizontal plate, and composed of a rectangular shaped plate body. The anchor fixed plates are welded on the exterior of the vertical plate and attached at predetermined intervals under the horizontal plate. In order to connect the two frames, the elastic rubber drain board is hung on the horizontal plate and the vertical plate. The elastic rubber drain board is composed of an M-shaped rubber plate. The bracket is formed in an L-shape to attach the elastic rubber drain board to the outside. The fastening members fix the bracket and the elastic rubber drain board to the horizontal plate. |
