Apparatus is disclosed for determining dry matter contents of forage, typically grass in pastures. In order to allow for seasonal dry or wet pastures readings are taken representative of the dry matter percentage These readings are then used to correct for dry matter readings being typically taken using a capacitance meter with in-built programming.
