Disclosed is a coated panel comprising: a building panel; and a coating comprising calcium sulfate hemihydrate in a latex polymer matrix, and a dual component set preventer distributed throughout said matrix, wherein said set preventer comprises at least one of the group consisting of low molecular weight polymers having a molecular weight less than 6,000 Daltons, compounds of polyphosphonic acid or esters thereof and mixtures thereof and wherein said low molecular weight polymers are selected from a group consisting of a polymer having a polyamide backbone, a polymer having a carboxylate functional group, a polymer made from vinyl acrylate, a monomer selected from the group consisting of , a vinyl chloride monomer, a styrene, substituted styrene, a substituted ethylene, or combinations thereof. |
