The invention relates to the use a solution formulation for pressurized metered dose inhalers and comprising formoterol fumarate in a combination with beclomethasone dipropionate as an active medical formulation in ratio between 1:3 to 1:100 w/w dissolved in an HFA propellant and not more than 20% w/w ethanol as a co-solvent for use for the prevention or treatment of a severe broncho-pulmonary disease, wherein the formulation provides delivery of said two active drugs with substantially the same particle size distribution.
