<p>The invention relates to an electric power plant. According to the invention, the power plant provides for the internal partitioning of the dam into two or more compartments (), each of them communicating, by means of some locks () which can be closed or open, with the main emptying compartment () wherein there are some sluice gates () releasing the water into a pressure pipe (), behind the locks () which ensure the connection between the compartments, there being located some turbines intended to rotate upon water flowing into the main emptying compartment (), said rotation motion being transmitted to some hydroelectric generators which upon water flowing therethrough will produce electric power, an additional energy source being obtained thereby.</p> |
