Disclosed is the use of a therapeutically effective amount of droxidopa and optionally one or more additional active agents in the manufacture of a medicament for treating fibromyalgia in a subject, the one or more additional active agents being selected from the group consisting of DOPA decarboxylase inhibitors, catechol-O-methyltransferase inhibitors, cholinesterase inhibitors, and antidepressants.
