The invention relates to a process for preparing absorbing hydrogels based on cellulose-lignin/lignin-epoxy resin by the cross-linking of a mixture of cellulose, dissolved at a temperature of -30°C in an 8.5% NaOH solution, lignin/lignin-epoxy resin and epychlorohydrine at 85°C, for 7 hours, after which the resulting hydrogel is washed to remove impurities and treated with acetone to remove the epychlorohydrine and is finally dried under vacuum.
