An apparatus for modification or treatment of a structural part (11) in manufacturing is described. The apparatus comprises an automatic guided vehicle (10) adapted to move by detecting a predetermined path (13) and steering the vehicle (10) to move along the predetermined path (13). A portal (12) is mounted on the automatic guided vehicle (10) such that a structural part (11) passes through the portal (12) when the vehicle (10) moves along the predetermined path (13). One or more tools (21, 24) are mounted on the portal (12) to modify or treat the structural part (11) as the vehicle (10) moves along the predetermined path (13).
