PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that identifies a movement direction of an opening/closing body at low cost without using a sensor and the like that detects the movement direction of the opening/closing body.

SOLUTION: An opening/closing body driving device 100 that activates a motor in a direction to move an opening/closing body while the motor is in use includes a movement detection part 1011 that detects a movement of the opening/closing body and a movement direction identification part 1012 that identifies the movement direction of the opening/closing body based on a voltage generated by the motor when the movement detection part detects the movement of the opening/closing body in non-use state of the motor.
