<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized centrifugal pump in which necessary motor torque can be secured and axial attraction force can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: This centrifugal blood pump unit is provided with a plurality of permanent magnets 17 in an impeller 10 inside a blood chamber 7. A plurality of coils 20 is provided inside a motor chamber 8 and a magnetic body 18 is provided inside each coil 20. The magnetic body 18 is made shorter than the coil 20 to reduce the attraction force between the magnetic body 18 and the permanent magnets 17 of the impeller 10, making a gap between the magnetic body 18 and the permanent magnets 17 larger.
