<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of maintaining bearing performance over a long period, by improving sealability of a seal. <P>SOLUTION: The seal 8 has: an annular seal plate 12 constituted of core metal 14 fitted in an end part of an outer member 2, and a seal member 15 having a side lip 15a and a dust lip 15b slantingly extending outward in the radial direction and a grease lip 15c slantingly extending to the bearing inner side; and a slinger 13 constituted of a cylindrical part 13a fitted to a base part 6b, and a vertical plate part 13b extending outward in the radial direction and slidingly contacting with the side lip 15a and the dust lip 15b oppositely via an axial directional clearance t1 to a side surface 6c of a wheel installing flange 6. The vertical plate part 13b is opposed via a predetermined radial directional clearance (a) to the end part inner periphery of the outer member 2, and the slinger 13 is arranged in a state of being pushed in the bearing inner side so as to have a step height t2 between an end surface 2c of the outer member 2 and the vertical plate part 13b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
