<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device and an image forming apparatus that prevent the occurrence of a leakage phenomenon in an internal polarization charging system by bringing an electrode into close contact with a latent image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an elastic blade 22 provided with a light-transmissive electrode 23; when the elastic blade 22 comes in contact with the surface of a photoconductor drum 1, the light-transmissive electrode 23 is configured to be arranged in a blade contact area a where the elastic blade 22 comes in contact with the surface of the photoconductor drum 1, and not to be present in a separation area c where the elastic blade 22 separates from the photoconductor drum 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
