<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerating machine and a method of reconstructing the turbo refrigerating machine, saving energy by reconstructing a refrigerating machine formed by adding rotation speed control to a refrigerating machine performing guide vane control, in particular an existing refrigerating machine performing the guide vane control, to enable the same to perform both the guide vane control and the rotation speed control. <P>SOLUTION: The turbo refrigerating machine includes: an evaporator 10 evaporating refrigerant liquid to generate refrigerant gas and cooling a medium to be cooled with the latent heat of evaporation; an impeller 23 sucking in and compressing the refrigerant gas; a turbo compressor 20 provided at an inlet of the impeller 23 and having guide vanes 25 variable in opening degree; a condenser 30 drawing heat from the refrigerant gas compressed by the turbo compressor 20 to condense the refrigerant gas; a variable speed driving machine 21 driving the turbo compressor 20; a first control part 70b-1 adjusting the opening degree of the guide vanes 25 to control refrigeration output; and a second control part 70b-2 adjusting the rotation speed of the variable speed driving machine 21 to control the opening degree of the guide vanes 25 to a predetermined set opening degree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
