<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain of a simple configuration which can be used for a chain lock, locking, a tire chain, or cargo lifting like a crane, and the anchoring of a ship, and has a decorative effect and is usable for an ornament such as a necklace. <P>SOLUTION: The chain 1 is configured by connecting rings in a chained state. The ring 2 has cross direction parts 2a and longitudinal direction parts 2b, the cross direction parts 2a of the rings 2 are connected to each other in a chain shape to form a basic chain, and the longitudinal direction parts 2b are connected to each other so that the ring faces of the rings 2 of the pair of the basic chains form an angle θ smaller than 180° to form set rings.
