FITTING FOR CONNECTION OF BRACE TO COLUMN IN TEMPORARY SCAFFOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and quick connection of a brace to a column.

SOLUTION: A fitting for connection of a brace to a column (A) includes: a fitting and covering member (12) which is to be fastened to the lower end of a brace (7) and is in a U-shape in a side view while being in an inverted U-shape in a plan view to be fitted with and to cover a retainer fitting (8) of a column (1) from the back and in which a front edge (10) in an opposing central wall (9) is inclined to conform to the frontward-lowered inclination in a rear wall (11) of the retainer fitting (8); and a wedge (18) which is to be fitted between opposing upper walls (13) and between opposing lower walls (14) of the fitting and covering member (12) and has a vertical front edge (15) with a certain portion of its lower part being a backward-lowered inclined portion (16) and in which a rear edge (17) is inclined to conform to the inclination in the rear wall (11) of the retainer fitting (8). The wedge (18) has a long hole (21) having a vertical portion (19) and a backward-lowered inclined portion (20) that is continuously provided at the lower part of the vertical portion and that is parallel to a wedge front edge lower end inclined portion (16), and both ends of a pin (22) traversing the long hole (21) are fixed to the opposing upper walls (13).
