<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing a V-groove of a cathode plate, which can accurately determine whether a V-groove is good or not, and to provide a system therefor. <P>SOLUTION: An electrodeposited metal is formed by electrodepositing a metal on a surface by electrolytic refining, and a depth of a groove of the cathode plate 1 which is divided into two by an exfoliation device 103 with the V-groove at its bottom of which the electrodeposited metal is formed as a center is managed by the V-groove management system 200. The V-groove management system 200 comprises: a displacement sensor 21 which measures the depth of the groove of the V-groove 7 of the cathode plate 1 in a process in which the electrodeposited metal 2 is exfoliated by the exfoliation device 103 and transferred to a second transfer device 35b; and a control device 30 which performs processing for taking out, to a reject conveyor 8, the cathode plate 1 which is shallowed in groove by comparing measurement values D<SB POS="POST">A</SB>, D<SB POS="POST">B</SB>measured by the displacement sensor 21 with a set value D<SB POS="POST">S</SB>.
