LINEAR ACTUATOR

A linear actuator is provided with an outer tube, and an inner tube slidably inserted into the outer tube. The linear actuator further comprises: a rod that extends upright in the central axial portion of the inner tube and forms an annular space with the inner tube; a rod guide in sliding contact with the inner periphery of the outer tube, the rod guide guiding the rod in the axial direction; a plurality of permanent magnets aligned in the axial direction and held on the rod; a plurality of coils held on the outer tube and positioned facing the permanent magnets; and a cooling fluid filled in an inner space formed by the outer tube and the inner tube.
