<p>In a thermoelectric generator (30) a layer (48) of a phase change material is introduced between a pipe (32), which conducts off gases, and at least one thermoelectric module (40). This phase change material layer stores excess heat QE at excessively high off gas temperatures and thus protects the thermoelectric modules (40) and at the same time keeps the thermoelectric generator (30) at a constant temperature level, thus improving the efficiency thereof.</p> |
