LUBRICANT, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WIRE DRAWING

PURPOSE: A lubricant, a wire drawing method, and a wire drawing apparatus using thereof are provided to offer the uniform surface spreading property of the lubricant to the method and the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A lubricant contains titanium dioxide powder and ethanol in a weight ratio of 1:1-4. The titanium dioxide powder has the average particle size of 100-300nm. A wire drawing method using the lubricant comprises the following steps: spreading the lubricant on a wire; and passing the wire with the lubricant through a wire drawing die. The lubricant is spread on the wire by passing the wire through a sol tank containing the lubricant.
