<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector that prevents deterioration in ejection characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejector includes: a liquid ejection head having a plurality of nozzle arrays respectively in which a plurality of nozzles for ejecting liquid are arranged in a row; a cover part for covering at least an array of the plurality of nozzle arrays; and a control part that allows the liquid ejection head to execute ejection operation for ejecting the liquid by using the plurality of nozzle arrays, and also, allows the cover part to execute covering operation for covering at least an array of the nozzle arrays, different from partial nozzle arrays used for liquid ejection, in the ejection operation using the partial nozzle arrays of the plurality of nozzle arrays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
