<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality image even when an error occurs in a specific imaging system. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging unit which comprises three or more imaging systems having imaging optical axes at positions different from one another and taking images of a subject with light of at least a first wavelength region; an image selection unit which compares the three or more images taken by the three or more imaging systems and selects one or more image which is different from that of the other images in an image area including an image of the identical subject, by a value larger than a predetermined value; and an image composition unit which generates an output image by composing the images other than the image selected by the image selection unit from among the three or more images taken by the three or more imaging systems, with weighting greater than that to be applied to the image selected by the image selection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
