<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that allows a user to properly park by stopping the vehicle once at a proper position in the case where he or she parks the vehicle in tandem by stopping the vehicle once and then operating the steering wheel with backing the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device displays, on a display, an index superposed on the displayed image that indicates necessary gaps which are gaps between side surfaces of the vehicle and other objects at a position where parking is started when the vehicle is parallel parked. Therefore, when the user parallel parks the vehicle, he/she can refer to the index of the displayed image displayed on the display to take necessary gaps as spaces between the side surfaces of the vehicle and the other objects at the parking start position, and thus, he/she can parallel park the vehicle properly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
