#CMT# #/CMT# The gasifier includes a carburetor for producing fuel gas from the biomass, and a filter element (3) such as a filter candle made of stainless steel non-woven fiber through which the fuel gas from the gasifier is conducted. The stainless steel fiber is manufactured by the sintering process. A stainless steel mesh is formed around the stainless steel fiber. The filter element comprises a highly effective filtering surface with small space requirement. The filter element is highly stable against mechanical deformation. Penetration of surrounding air into the gasifier is prevented, so that the deflagrations of the device can be obviated effectively.
