<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a distribution server to recommend an application to a user in consideration of power consumption of the application. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution server collects usage information on a hardware resource at the time of executing an application from each communication terminal in a communication system; estimates power consumption from the collected resource information since it calculates a formula for evaluating power consumption (power evaluation formula) of the application on the communication terminal from the hardware resource usage information (model parameter) and retains the calculated formula; statistically determines a power consumption value representing each application from many collected model parameters on the communication terminal; and when receiving a search request from the communication terminal, transmits the calculated power consumption value in addition to meta information of the application included in a search result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
