摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide laser distance measurement equipment for measuring the area of an arbitrary polygon by a simple measurement operation in a non-contact state. <P>SOLUTION: Laser distance measurement equipment 1 is configured as laser radar type distance measurement equipment for measuring the area of an arbitrary polygon on a measurement object 10 in a non-contact state. A two-dimensional scanner 3 irradiates vertexes A, B and so on of the arbitrary polygon on the measurement object 10 by deflecting a laser beam from a laser diode 2. A photodiode 6 receives the laser beam reflected at each of the vertexes A, B and so on, and outputs a signal. An arithmetic control part 7 calculates the area of the polygon by using an output signal from the photodiode 6 and the operation information of the two-dimensional scanner 3.
