<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing the occurrence of image defects (gloss unevenness, etc.) and suppressing the reduction of an operation rate caused by the separation failure of a recording material by preventing the separation failure. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a heating part heating the recording material; a pressure part pressing the recording material against the heating part; a separation pawl separating the recording paper from the heating part or the pressure part; a fixing and moving part reciprocating the heating part, the pressure part and the separation pawl in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the recording material; and a separation pawl moving part reciprocating the separation pawl in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the recording material. The separation pawl moving part moves the separation pawl in the direction opposite to the direction where the heating part, the pressure part and the separation pawl are moved by the fixing and moving part, in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the recording material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
