<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain which keeps a manufacturing cost and an assembling cost low, which improves durability by restraining wear elongation, heat generation and noise generation from being caused by repeated deformation of a connecting pin and a guide link plate, and which increases strength against tension of the whole chain without concentrating the tension on a specific plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the chain 100, the connecting pins 140 are inserted into link plates of guide link rows 101 and non-guide link rows 102 so that the link plates are alternately connected and braided together. The connecting pins 140 are closely fitted into first pin holes 111, 121 and 131 of the link plates of the guide link rows 101 and non-guide link rows 102.
