<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cleaning apparatus which can accurately detect the turbidity of liquid to be cleaned with the amount of impurities actually adhered to a filter medium reflected without using a high accuracy detector. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid cleaning apparatus 10 includes a container 1, the filter medium 2, a primary side space 1c, a supply route 3, a stay part 12, and a detection part 4. The primary side space 1c is a space before the liquid passes through the filter medium 2 in the inside of the container 1. The supply route 3 has an inflow port 31 opened toward the primary side space 1c, is connected to the primary side space 1c, and supplies the liquid from the outside of the container 1 to the primary side space 1c. The stay part 12 is formed in the primary side space 1c and makes impurities contained in the liquid supplied from the supply route 3 to the primary side space 1c and impurities peeled off from the filter medium 2 stay.
