<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize recording conditions comparatively in a short period of time in an optical disk where multilayer recording is possible. <P>SOLUTION: Information is recorded by using a one side two layers disk (100) of a DRAW type, for example, and forming a mark section and a space section in a data area (DA) using a laser with emission power modulated. When Pp denotes maximum laser power (peak power) when forming the mark section and Pb denotes bias power when forming the space section, a power ratio Pb/Pp is calculated at every recording layer (L0, L1) (ST16) and on the basis of the calculation result, information is recorded on one of two or more recording layers (L0 and/or L1) (ST14 to ST22).
